Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Almighty Allah's Truth.
