And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh, will they not fear God? 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 "So I fled from you (all) when I feared you; but my Lord has (since) invested me with judgment (and wisdom) and appointed me as one of the messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
