Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and the smooth runners 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They slept little in the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
