▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 and you are watching at that time 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
