Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
