Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised its roof and made it proper. 28 And He made its night dark, and started its light. 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 As provision for you and your grazing livestock. 33 But when the great predominating calamity comes; 34 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, 35 And the Scorch will be made apparent to any one who beholdeth. 36 then as for him who was insolent 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust, 40 Paradise will be the dwelling. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 (Muhammad), you do not know (when and how) it will come. 43 The extent of its knowledge goes to your Lord. 44 You are only a warner to him who would fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
