The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars fall, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
