The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night that falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
