The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
