Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
