And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
