Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 is food for the sinner. 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 like boiling water. 46 'Seize him and drag him into the center of Hell. 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 Taste it - thou who [on earth] hast considered thyself so mighty, so noble! 49 This is that which you doubted' 50 Verily the God-fearing shall be in a secure place 51 amidst gardens and springs. 52 Dressed in brocade and shot silk, facing one another. 53 Thus shall it be. And We shall pair them with companions pure, most beautiful of eye. 54 There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 They will not experience any death other than that which they have already been through. 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So wait thou and watch; for they (too) are waiting. 59
