Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O THOU human being! 1 By the Qur'an, full of Wisdom,- 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 On a path that is straight, -- 4 by [virtue of] what is being bestowed from on high by the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 5 so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned, and so were heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We have bound their necks with fetters up to their chin, so that their heads are raised and cannot be lowered. 8 And We have made before them a barrier and a barrier behind them, then We have covered them over so that they do not see. 9 Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. 10 You can warn only him who follows the Admonition and fears the Merciful Lord without seeing Him. Give such a one good tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12
