Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
