The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 He created the human 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 and the stars and the trees all prostrate themselves, 6 He raised the sky and set the Balance 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
