The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 Who guard their sex 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
