Al-Insan 2 of 2
Surely We have sent down the Koran on thee, a sending down; 23 Await, then, in all patience thy Sustainer's judgment, and pay no heed to any of them, who is a wilful sinner or an ingrate; 24 Mention the Name of your Lord, mornings and evenings. 25 And during the night - worship Him; and hallow Him the livelong night. 26 Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. 27 We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. 28 This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord. 29 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills; indeed Allah is All Knowing, Wise. 30 He will admit to His Mercy whom He will and as for the Zalimun, (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) He has prepared a painful torment. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
