The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 you pay attention 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
