The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
