۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 apart from God, and guide them unto the path of Hell! 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will start the talk and say: "I had an intimate companion (on the earth), 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 What, do we then not die 58 Saving our former death, and are we not to be punished? 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And certainly most of the ancients went astray before them, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
