3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Of his party was Abraham. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
