Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The sure calamity! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what will make you know what the Reality is? 3 Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer. 4 Then the Thamud were destroyed by an awesome upheaval; 5 And the 'Ad were destroyed by the furious cold blast of roaring wind 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. 10 When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark, 11 as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. 12 Then when the Horn is blown with one blast 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 On that day shall the great event come to pass, 15 and the heavens will be rent asunder, 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. 18 So whoever is given his book in his right hand – he will say, “Take, read my account!” 19 I was certain I'll be given my account." 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 But he who is given his record in his left hand will say, "If only I had never been given my Record 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 “Alas, if only it had been just death.” 27 Our wealth is of no benefit to us 28 Vanished has my power from me." 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 Then cast him into the burning fire, 31 "Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits! 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 Today he has been left here friendless; 35 “Nor any food except the pus discharged from the people of hell.” 36 Which none but sinners eat. 37
