Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The sure calamity! 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. 5 and the Ad were destroyed by a furiously raging wind-storm 6 which He let loose upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession; so that (if you had been there) you might have seen people lying prostrate, as though they were uprooted trunks of hollowed palm trees. 7 So do you see any survivor among them? 8 And there came Pharaoh and those before him and the overturned cities with sin. 9 They defied their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an ever-tightening grip. 10 Surely We bore you up in the ship when the water rose high, 11 That We might make it a memorial for you, and that remembering ears (that heard the story) might remember. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and mountains heaved and crushed to powder with one levelling blow, 14 on that Day, the Event occurs. 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy, 16 And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 The Day whereon ye shall be mustered nothing hidden by you shall be hidden. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 Surely I knew that I should have to meet my reckoning. 20 He is therefore in the desired serenity. 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 Clusters whereof shall be near at hand. 23 We shall say to him, "Eat and drink joyfully as a reward for the good deeds you did in days gone by." 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 And knew not what my reckoning! 26 I wish my death had been the decisive one. 27 Of no use was even my wealth. 28 and our belief has destroyed us". 29 Seize him and fetter him, 30 “Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” 31 Then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long: 32 "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High. 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 That is why he has no friend today, 35 neither any food saving foul pus, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
