So I do call to witness what ye see, 38 and by that you do not see, 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe! 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 And if he had forged concerning us some discourses. 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran).
