The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
