The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Highly blessed is He, Who has sent down Al-Furqan, to His servant so that it may be a warner to all mankind: 1 He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. 2 And yet, some choose to worship, instead of Him, imaginary deities that cannot create anything but are themselves created, and have it not within their power to avert harm from, or bring benefit to, themselves, and have no power over death, nor over life, nor over resurrection! 3 And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie. 4 And they say: fables of the ancients which he hath had written down, so they are dictated unto him, morning and evening. 5 Say: He has revealed it Who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth; surely He is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 6 And they say: What is the matter with this Apostle that he eats food and goes about in the markets; why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him? 7 Or why has not at least a treasure been sent down for him or a garden given to him for (easy) sustenance?" And the wicked people say, "You are following a man bewitched." 8 See to what they liken thee, [O Prophet, simply] because they have gone astray and are now unable to find a way to the truth]! 9
