Tell them the story of Abraham, 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They replied, "We worship idols and shall continue to worship them". 71 He said: "Do they listen to you when ye call (on them)?" 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this wise. 74 He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping, 75 and what your grandfathers worshipped 76 Lo! they are (all) an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the Worlds, 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 And Who feedeth me and watereth me. 79 And when I am ill, it is He who cures me 80 Who will make me die, then give me life again, 81 And He Who, I long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. 82 My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. 85 and forgive my father, for he is one of those astray. 86 “And do not disgrace me on the day when everyone will be raised.” 87 the Day when wealth and sons will be of no avail, 88 Unless it be he, who shall bring unto Allah a whole heart, 89 For, [on that Day,] paradise will be brought within sight of the God-conscious, 90 And hell will be revealed for the astray. 91 they will be asked, "Where are those whom you worshipped 92 besides God? Will the idols help you? Can they help themselves?" 93 Then the idols and those who strayed will be hurled into the Fire headlong, one upon another, 94 and the hosts of Iblis, all together. 95 They shall say while they contend therein: 96 "'By Allah, we were truly in an error manifest, 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 It was the evildoers who led us astray, 99 And now we have none to intercede for us, 100 no loyal friend. 101 “So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!” 102 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 103 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
