And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 Or do they benefit you, or do you harm?" 73 They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus." 74 Thereupon, Abraham said: "Have you seen (with your eyes) those whom you have been worshipping, 75 you and your fathers, the elders? 76 They are all enemies to me; all, except the Lord of the Universe 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. 79 "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. 80 "Who will cause me to die, and then to life (again); 81 and who, [hope, will forgive me my faults on Judgment Day! 82 [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. 83 And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; 84 and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 85 And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. 86 And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected - 87 the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring, 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship 92 beside Allah? Can they be of any help to you, or even be of any help to themselves?" 93 So they shall be thrown down into it, they and the erring ones, 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it: 96 "By God, we were most obviously astray 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 “And none misled us but the guilty.” 99 And now we have none to intercede for us, 100 Nor a true friend; 101 If only we could return and be among the believers!" 102 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 103 surely, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
