And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
