S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Saad, alphabet of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings. By oath of the renowned Qur'an. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many generations have We destroyed before them who cried when it was too late for escape. 3 They were surprised that one of them had come to them as warner; and the unbelievers said: "He is a deceiving sorcerer. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And the chief persons of them break forth, saying: Go and steadily adhere to your gods; this is most surely a thing sought after. 6 We have not heard of this in the latest religion. This is not but a fabrication. 7 "Is the Qur'an which is sent to him, among us?" In fact they are in a doubt concerning My Book; in fact, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 A very host of parties is routed there! 11 Before them there have belied the people of Nuh and the 'Aad, and Fir'awn the owner of the stakes. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lout (Lot), and the dwellers of the wood; such were the confederates. 13 There was not one of those that did not belie the Messengers. Therefore, My retribution was realized. 14
