Or do those in whose hearts is a disease think that Allah will not bring forth their spite? 29 Had We wanted, We could have made you recognize their faces. You will certainly recognize them by the tone of their speech. God knows all your deeds. 30 And verily We shall try you till We know those of you who strive hard (for the cause of Allah) and the steadfast, and till We test your record. 31 Surely those who do not believe, and obstruct others from the path of God, and oppose the Prophet after the way of guidance has been opened to them, will not hurt God in the least, and He will nullify all that they have done. 32 Believers, obey God and the Messenger and do not invalidate your deeds. 33 ۞ Those who disbelieve and bar from God's way and then die disbelieving, them God will not forgive. 34 So do not weaken and call for peace while you are superior; and Allah is with you and will never deprive you of [the reward of] your deeds. 35 [This] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. And if you believe and fear Allah, He will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties. 36 [for,] if He were to demand of you all of them, and urge you, you would niggardly cling [to them,] and so He would [but] bring out your moral failings. 37 Behold! ye are those who are called to expend in the way of Allah, then there are of you some who are niggardly. And whosoever is niggardly is niggardly only to himself. And Allah is Self-Sufficient, and ye are the needy. And if ye turn away, He will substitute for you another people, and then they will not be the likes of you. 38
