The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
