The Poets (Alshu'araa')

227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ TA SIN MIM. 1 These are verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Perchance thou consumest thyself that they are not believers. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Surely in this there is a sign, yet most of them would not believe: 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
