The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
