Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and the burden-bearers 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven with its passages, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
