(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
