Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
