Surely We have created man, and We know the promptings of his heart, and We are nearer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And when the agony of death comes in truth (they will say): 'This is what you have been trying to avoid' 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 [And] He will say: "Contend not before Me, [O you sinners,] for I gave you a forewarning [of this Day of Reckoning]. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
