And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 So by your Lord, We will surely question them all 92 For all their deeds. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
