Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
