Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
And [every time] the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to the announcement of a life to come - [simply] because We had granted them ease and plenty in [their] worldly life, and they had become corrupted by it [every time] they would say: "This [man] is nothing hut a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat, and drinking of what you drink: 33 and, indeed, if you pay heed to a mortal like yourselves, you will surely be the losers! 34 “Does he promise you that when you die and turn into dust and bones, you will be raised again?” 35 ۞ Far, far is that which you are threatened with. 36 There exists only our present life: we die and we live [but once], and shall never be raised up again. 37 He is nothing but a man who attributes his own lying inventions to God, and we are not going to believe him!" 38 He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 39 [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." 40 A blast struck them for a just cause, and We made them look like withered leaves. God keeps the unjust people away from His mercy. 41 Then We raised after them other generations. 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor yet postpone it. 43 Thereafter We sent Our apostles, successively. So oft as there came unto a community their apostle, they belied him, so We made them follow one another, and We made them bywords; so away with a people who believe not! 44 Thereafter We sent Musa and his brother Harun with Our signs and an authority manifest. 45 to Pharaoh and to his chiefs, but they behaved superciliously and they were haughty. 46 They said: "Shall we put faith in two mortals like ourselves when their people are slaves to us?" 47 So they rejected them both, and became those who were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Moosa the Book, that they may attain guidance. 49 And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
