But they did not listen to me," Noah said, "and followed him whose wealth and children only added to his ruin. 21 and who have devised a most awesome blasphemy [against Thee,] 22 "And they have said: 'You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth, nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr (names of the idols); 23 And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error. 24 Because of their sins, they were drowned and made to enter hell. They could find no one to help them besides God. 25 And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant. 26 "For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones. 27 O Lord, forgive me, my parents, and any one who enters my house as a believer, and all believing men and women, and do not give the evil-doers increase save in ruin. 28
True are the words of God the Almighty.
