۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
