Al-Ankaboot 7 of 7
The present life is nothing but sport and amusement. The true life is in the Abode of the Hereafter; if only they knew. 64 And so, when they embark on a ship [and find themselves in danger,] they call unto God, [at that moment] sincere in their faith in Him alone; but as soon as He has brought them safe ashore, they [begin to] ascribe to imaginary powers a share in His divinity: 65 that they may be ungrateful for what We have given them, and take their enjoyment; they will soon know! 66 Do they not see that We have given them a safe sanctuary, while all around them men are being despoiled? Do they then believe what is false, and deny the bounty of God? 67 And who is a greater wrong-doer than he who fabricateth a lie against Allah or belieth the truth when it cometh unto him. Will there not be in the Hell an abiding-place for the infidels? 68 And those who strove in Our way – We shall surely show them Our paths; and indeed Allah is with the virtuous. 69
