The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
