Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember You much: 34 Surely Thou seest into us.' 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
