The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
