SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
