Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
