Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
